Preprint Impact Study

Demographic and Citation Trends in Astrophysical Journal papers and Preprints is a study of "the publishing, preprint posting, and citation patterns for papers published in the ApJ in 1999 and 2002" which concludes that, on average, "ApJ papers posted on astro-ph are cited more than twice as often as those that are not posted on astro-ph" and offers "insights into how astronomical research is currently disseminated by authors and ingested by readers."

Hamilton Addition Change

Books and journals shelved in the Addition (call numbers Q thru T) are accessible, but are not available for paging; patrons should go to the shelves.

Hamilton Library Addition Open

The Hamilton Library Addition stacks are now open. This means that Library of Congress call numbers Q through T are available for browsing. You can still page your books online or you can go to the stacks in the Addition to find your book or journal. Current journals are available for browsing, although because the receiving department is just resuming their processing now, not all of the current journals will be up-to-date.

The hours for this week are 9-5 M-F, closed on the weekend.

More information about the current library services is at:
