Grads and Affiliates* -- Register for eJournal Access

You must register with the UH Manoa Hamilton Library -- regardless of which island you are on -- to access Hamilton's eResources such as: full-text articles, eBooks, Databases, and electronically-delivered Inter-Library Loan articles**.

**A Special Note to IfA Hilo and IfA Maui people about Inter-Library Loan Book services.  Don't use the Hamilton Library Loan service to request physical books -- use the UH Library Loan service on your island for maximum convenience.  Otherwise you must pick up your books on Oahu at Hamilton Library in person.  No one else can pick up Inter-Library Loan books for you without prior written approval.

Once registered, you can access electronic journals from your office and remote locations by logging in using your UH email account username [username@hawaii.edu] and password.

You need your 8-digit UH number to register.  (Your UH number can be obtained from Evelyn Moss or Debra Hew-Harano at the IfA Human Resources department.)

Register online by completing the Library ID Registration form.

•    Select Manoa as your campus, regardless of which island you are on.
•    Put your UH number in BOTH boxes:
     1)    the "UH Number (required)" box, AND,
     2)    the "ID Barcode (required)" box.
•    For “Status (required)”: Select from drop down menu.

Most requests are processed in 2-4 business days, including verification of enrollment and/or University affiliation.

*UH Affiliated Users: individuals who have received a temporary or long-term UH username and password.  This includes visiting scholars, employees, faculty, research associates and postdoctoral students.

Use the "UH User Account Management" link to check the status of your UH username and password.

Use this link to contact the ITS Help Desk on your island for additional help and information.

If you experience any difficulties
or broken links with this process,
please contact the IfA Librarian, at
