Recent Hilo Acquisitions

The Hilo IfA Library recently received a large donation from the JAC Library. The complete list of these acquisitions is on the bulletin board outside the library office. These items will soon be added to the Complete Journals list -- email Amy if you want a copy of either.

Some of the volumes received were to fill gaps, some were bound volumes to replace loose issues that we had. Some of the titles received:

Annual Review of Astronomy & Astrophysics
Astronomy & Astrophysics Abstracts
Astronomy and Geophysics
Bulletin of the American Astronomical Society
Experimental Astronomy
Infrared Physics
Mercury
Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society
New Scientist
Observatory
Physics Today
Publications of the Astronomical Society of Japan
Quarterly Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society
Review of Modern Physics
Soviet Astronomy

A very heartfelt Mahalo! to JAC for these donations.

Hamilton Sign-In

People are being asked to sign-in when they enter Hamilton Library because of several instances of arson and attempted arson in the past week. :-(

The instances have been small but have damaged some books. The automatic alarm system doesn't work because the main circuit was destroyed in the flood; instead, there are guards roaming the floors looking for smoke / fire.
